Ankeny Dental Professionals owes a debt of gratitude to our founder, Dr. Matt McCullough for his vision, leadership and friendship. Dr. McCullough grew up in Ankeny, attended University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and served eight years as a Dentist in the Iowa National Guard. In 1998, Matt and his wife Brea returned to Ankeny to raise their family and started Ankeny Dental Professionals in January, 2007. They knew there was a need in Ankeny for a dental office that engaged with the community at large.  

Dr. McCullough loved everything about being a dentist and cared tirelessly for his patients and employees. Matt was always willing to serve and use this talent to help others. In addition to serving his country, Dr. McCullough served three terms on the Iowa Dental Board and was an active volunteer in the community. Sadly, Dr. McCullough passed away in 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dr. McCullough will never be forgotten by those his life touched. We are forever grateful to the McCullough’s for the strong foundation they laid for Ankeny Dental Professionals and are honored to continue to provide the high level of care our patients expect and deserve.
